Here you can find all the games that I think do something interesting with their gameplay. In the following sections you will find a list of games, each with short description of what is notable about it. While gameplay is most important in my opinion, there will also be honorable mentions for games that caught my eye for other reasons. In case I find multiple games that do the same interesting thing I will list the one I think does it best or makes most use of it. This list is intended for people who are tired of playing the same game with different coat of paint and look for something more unique. Game designers may also find some inspiration from the games listed here.
The sections are determined such, that I can avoid any single section getting really big, using my game classification system. This is work in progress, I am limiting my search for last three decades (1990-2020), though newer/older games may appear as I randomly learn about them. The lists will be growing and once in a while they will be cleared of obsolete entries with the help of a text processing script. Bear in mind that interesting is not the same as good. Some of the games here may be boring or a barely playable mess. Also, because there is not enough time to play every game, I go mostly by game's description, manual, screenshots or gameplay footage. Therefore there may be things I missed or misunderstood.
